Koreans... Two Given, One Stayed
Here are more pics of the korean fridge magnets my brother in law Adif got for me.
This particular one was given to GH as a present.
It is a Korean lady in typical korean costume and face painted in some korean traditional makeup for cultural show.
This little Korean girl by the flag is resting on my mother's fridge.
This one, Korean flag with Korean traditional mask in at the office. Natasha doesn't like how it looks like so I've put it at the office instead of leaving it at home. I have also since yesterday took the rubber/pvc magnets (temporarily put on the side on my fridge) to the office. They are too lovely to be put way down there on the lower front door of the fridge (sebab tak berapa nampak) so now they are on my white board. Will not be there for long. I'm sure by the third week of July they will be in plastic/paper bags on the way to a new white board.

Tea With Jam and Cream, Anyone?
Hmmmhh hmmmhh yummie yummie. Care to sit and have tea with me? The food certainly look delicious!
Sort of a side profile. It's 2D so naturally, it's precious.
Now I am thinking - if I ever going to get Nik Yurni to bake me something (blueberry gateux, perhaps?). Maybe it would require us all to go to Nottingham. Insya Allah, kalau ada rezeki kan?
Note: Koji a.k.a. Rozila and family are now holiday-ing in Notts!

Wayang Kulit Jakarta
Thanks so much to my sis Gee, who got me this beauties! I am intrigued by the silver works (or izzit pewter, I am not sure) with wayang kulit motives. What's wayang kulit in english anyway? Surely not (well, I was going to say "skin show" but there is a negative conotation right there!)

Seattle Skyline
This is the famous landmark of Seattle. Remember the movie Men In Black starring Will Smith? It featured the Seattle Needle as an alien aircraft!

Tertinggal Keretapi
Zebra Lumut ni tertinggal la. Binatang lain dah naik train masuk earlier entry. Maybe it wants to be fashionably late!!
Animals In A Moss
Animals in a moss? They are, after all, from Lumut. Despite two of these says "Pangkor" but I really did buy them in Lumut.
I was very greedy, I took all of the different animals fridge magnets on sale.
These magnets are actually clips, so you can slip up papers.
Cornwall: Pie or Pasty
This one is cute. The pasty is attached with the spring so you can:
shake it, shake it. Pasty is different from pies. It is made by placing the filling on a flat pastry shape, usually a circle, and folding it to wrap the filling, crimping the edge to form a seal. The result is a raised semicircular package.
The traditional Cornish pasty is filled with beef, sliced potato, turnip and onion and baked.

The Japanese Invasion
An invasion I am willing to receive!! With thanks to Rozian, my senior in uni. It was a long wait, but it was worth it. Rozian, who is attached to Malaysian High Comm in Japan, came back to Malaysia but I was away in Bali so we didn't get to meet. Nevertheless he passed this to his friend; and I collected it ear;y last month. A set of four fridge magnets, and a beautiful mouse pad.
I must put it on record that I now only own three of these. The Mount Fuji (pic below) was given to Sha (MsLvoe) as a present.

Cut Off Date : 31 May 2009
This is how my fridge look like on 31st May 2009. Even my bibik agreed that the fridge will look dull without those magnettos. Indeed, it light up the entire area. Makes me smile everytime!
A close up, please:
The Funny Couple
Hot from the oven! Or shall I say, recently received!! GH gave me this Korean pair when we met at Hospital serdang last week.
Hypnotic-cally-not
Haryati gave me this souvenir - she got it in Rochester, New York last month. So cute, it is the size of our ten sen coin. When I first got it, I thought I brought it home. When I couldn't find it in the paperbag, I looked everywhere. Including under the car seats. Due to its size, I was worried that I might have lost it. It turned out that the little thingy was (is) safe and sound on my white board at the office.

Ride With Me
one of the cutest I have. It is a micro rickshaw, really. If you have the gadget like they have in the movie "Honey. I Shrunk The Kids", you can beam a real life rickshaw into this.
Bhun Raithe? Bun na Raite?
Bunratty Castle (Irish: Caisleán Bhun Raithe, meaning "Castle at the Mouth of the Ratty") is a large tower house in County Clare, Ireland. The name Bunratty, Bun Raite (or possibly, Bun na Raite) in Irish, means the 'bottom' or end of the 'Ratty' river. This river, alongside the castle, flows into the nearby Shannon estuary. From the top of the castle, one can look over to the estuary and the airport.
Thanks to Imran who remembered to get several fridge magnets while he was there.

Safekeeping
Around ten days ago, I put the plan to action. I got the black cardboards (mounting boards, they call it), the colourful tack-its, and the three shoe boxes containing the fridge magnets out.
It took me the whole night. At the end of it, 233 magnets were placed on 22 pieces of black cardboards. They are so colourful, and adorable, I must say so myself.
Tasha counted the numbers, hence we marked it at 233.
233. Excluding those on the white board at the office and on the fridge at home. They are now placed in huge plastic box.
I must say thank you to all who helped build this empire. Opps... I mean this collection. Mwahahahah
