This was purchased during our 2006 USA holidays. The word "Hollywood" is often used as a metonym for the cinema of the US. Today, much of the movie industry has dispersed into surrounding areas such as Burbank and the Los Angeles Westside but significant auxiliary industries, such as editing, effects, props, post-production and lighting companies, remain in Hollywood.
The picture below is actually taken at Universal Studios. No, we didn't stop by the road side to have a picture taken with the authentic Hollywood sign. We were able to take pictures with that background near Kodak Theatre and adjoining buildings by the Walk of Fame.
